Meta has launched its new One subscription bundles globally, pairing access to its standalone apps with expanded usage of the Muse AI assistant. The service offers separate tiers for individuals, creators, and businesses, though the core experience on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp remains free. Users can still purchase individual subscriptions for these platforms without opting into a bundle. Meta states it plans to expand the offerings to include AI glasses and editing tools in the future.
This move formalises a pricing strategy that previously existed only in testing, effectively monetising the integration of generative AI into daily social use. By bundling the AI tool with essential communication apps, Meta reduces friction for users who want advanced features without paying extra for each service. The shift signals a transition from free experimentation to a structured revenue model where AI capabilities become a premium add-on rather than a universal utility.
