For the independent maker and the artist who treats their studio as a canvas, the latest move from AIAIAI signals a shift from invisible utility to visible statement. For years, the Copenhagen-based brand defined itself by a stealthy, all-black aesthetic that prioritised function over form. Now, that philosophy is being inverted. The company is launching its TMA-2 and Tracks ranges in a pristine white finish, proving that high-end audio gear can serve as a bold visual anchor in a creator’s workspace.
A new palette for established hardware
The update covers four specific models: the TMA-2 DJ Wireless, the Tracks, the TMA-2 Studio Wireless, and the TMA-2 Move. The latter two are the brand’s modular Bluetooth options, featuring diaphragms crafted from bio-cellulose. This material choice is significant, as it incorporates organic elements directly into the mechanical heart of the device.
Frederik Jørgensen, the founder, frames this departure from tradition as a logical evolution for a company built around creators. “As a company built around creators, we see this collection as a natural extension of our visual universe,” Jørgensen says. “By introducing a stark contrast to our iconic black identity, we are inviting our community to express their individuality through the pure, minimalist aesthetics they already trust.”
An alliance with Björk
To mark the launch, AIAIAI has entered into an “ambitious, multi-sensory two-year global alliance” with Icelandic music legend Björk. The four new white headphone models will be distributed exclusively to attendees of her audiovisual touring exhibition, Echolalia.
This collaboration mirrors Björk’s broader artistic trajectory over her last three decades, where she consistently stretches the boundaries between mediums. Within the exhibition, visitors encounter audio that oscillates between “individual vocal micro-frequencies and collective choral dynamics.” Furthermore, the experience includes music from her upcoming album, which notably will not carry the title Echolalia.
Jørgensen highlights the rarity of such a partnership, noting Björk’s selectivity. “Working with an artist like Björk is incredibly rare. She’s so selective of who she collaborates with. She doesn’t simply create music or visuals – she builds entirely new worlds,” he adds. “This partnership gave us the opportunity to place our precision technology inside a truly visionary artistic universe with her, where sound, emotion, and innovation exist as one human pulse.”
Echolalia premiered on May 31, 2026, at the National Gallery of Iceland in Reykjavík. Future editions are scheduled for London, Paris, Tokyo, New York, and Sydney.
