Gemini Intelligence can now handle digital chores across more than 40 popular applications. This update moves beyond simple actions like ordering a rideshare to include shopping, dinner reservations, travel bookings, and event tickets.
On the Galaxy Z Flip8, users can trigger this assistance via the Flex Window by long pressing the power button. The system uses advanced reasoning to interpret complex images and shopping lists as prompts.
Users can watch the step-by-step progress on screen while multitasking in other apps or closing the phone to let the process run in the background. If a quick adjustment is needed, the user can intervene, make a change, and hand control back to the system for completion. A notification alerts the user when the task requires final review.
Gemini Notebook arrives on foldables
Gemini Notebook, previously known as NotebookLM, is now preinstalled on the new Samsung foldables. It functions as a research partner powered by multimodal models.
The expansive display on the Galaxy Z Fold8 series allows users to drag and drop photos, documents, whiteboard images, and voice recordings into a side-by-side workspace. Chat features let users ask questions about these sources.
The tool can generate custom resources such as slide decks, videos, flash cards, quizzes, and podcasts tailored to specific learning styles. Every Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Flip8 includes a six-month trial of Google AI Pro, granting access to features like Audio Overviews, Video Overviews, and Slides.
Watches and glasses get Gemini
The Galaxy Watch 9 allows users to activate Gemini by raising their wrist. No wake word is required to ask questions.
