Viiri Audio Launches Aava, a Creative Convolution Processor for Musicians and Artists

Viiri Audio has introduced Aava, a new digital creative convolution processor designed to enhance the soundscapes of musicians and audio engineers. This plugin enables users to dynamically adjust multiple impulse response (IR) parameters in real-time, providing unprecedented control over the sonic qualities of their work.
Aava supports four IRs per sound, each with its own set of parameters for start time, length, pitch, and timing. These features permit users to create and manipulate rich, varied sounds within their compositions.
To streamline workflow, Aava allows key-tracking of pitched impulses and synchronization of rhythmic IRs to the main tempo. This setup facilitates easy exploration and experimentation with various parameter settings, leading to creative discoveries through trial and error.
The plugin’s Explore Map feature further aids in adjusting multiple parameters simultaneously by routing them through an X/Y interface. For more precise control over individual impulse responses, Aava offers modular slots for LFO, Sample & Hold, AD Envelope, AR Envelope, Envelope Follower, or Key Follower.
Pitched impulses span a six-octave range, both upwards and downwards in pitch. Users can further refine their sounds with options like low and high pass filters, gain adjustments, and spectral compression within the wet signal section of Aava.
To capture real-time impulse responses for future use, Aava includes a feature to record these in situ, allowing users to document and reuse optimal settings as needed.
Aava is now available in CLAP and VST3 formats for Linux, Mac, and Windows. The introductory price of 79€ / $79 / £69 will be valid until June 15th. Following this period, the price will rise to 99€ / $99 / £89.
Prospective buyers can download a fully functional 30-day trial version of Aava from Viiri Audio.
