The hottest AI wearables and gadgets you should know about

A number of new gadgets aim to bring artificial intelligence into daily routines. These include necklaces, rings, and wristbands alongside portable units. Some function as productivity aids while others act as companions that listen to your thoughts. OpenAI is also developing a compact AI companion device.

Bee

This pendant costs $49.99 and can clip to clothing or wear like a fitness band. It records audio to learn routines and preferences, then creates reminders and notes. A mute button is available for privacy.

The companion app, available only on iOS, requires a $19 monthly subscription. You can interact with the device directly and ask questions. The service provides daily summaries and chronological transcripts of conversations.

Amazon acquired the startup in July 2025 and launched new products earlier this month.

Two new units are now available. The Bee Frontier costs $74.99 and can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing. The Bee Eclipse is priced at $99.99 and attaches magnetically to the back of a smartphone.

Both devices offer the same core functionality as the previous generation. They position the product as a more affordable alternative to AI tools like the Plaud Note and Plaud NotePin. Users can also connect the device to Alexa.

Friend

This entry in the personal AI device market costs $129 and is white in colour. It hangs around the neck and functions as an emotional support companion.

The unit recognises tone and mood to allow chatting as if talking to a friend. It connects to a phone via Bluetooth and listens constantly. It is ready to respond or send proactive messages, such as wishing luck before an interview.

Backlash followed an ad campaign in New York City subway stations. People vandalised the ads with messages like “surveillance capitalism.”

The company recently unveiled a major update under the name Friend 2.0. This version includes a built-in speaker and allows communication with users. It expresses a more distinctive personality.

Limitless

Formerly known as Rewind, this conversation-recording pendant costs $99.

The device listens continuously and transcribes meetings, calls, and conversations with consent into searchable and summarised knowledge. It is ideal for professionals, particularly journalists, who need to recall important discussions.

The companion app includes 10 hours of AI features per month for transcription and summaries. Users can unlock unlimited features for $29 per month.

Muse Charm

Meta introduced its first AI wearable in September. It offers a new way to access the personal AI assistant, Muse.

The device has not yet shipped but is expected to feature Jolly, a playful digital avatar representing the assistant. Housed in a pocket-sized unit that can be carried or attached to a keychain, it includes a miniature display showing the avatar. Users will interact with Muse through voice commands and have it complete tasks.

Nirva

Nirva is a startup founded by former Meta Reality Labs employees. It builds an AI wearable focused on personal growth rather than productivity or meeting notes.

Worn as a pendant or bracelet, the device listens to speech and uses AI to turn everyday experiences into a personal journal. This helps users understand emotions, communication style, and habits. The companion app allows exploration of behaviour patterns and insights into communication methods.

Orders open in November, with shipments to early users targeted for the end of the year. The device will cost $249.

Omi

Priced at $89, this device answers questions, summarises conversations, creates to-do lists, and helps schedule meetings. It constantly listens and runs conversations through ChatGPT. This allows it to remember context about the user and offer personalised advice.

Omi can be worn as a necklace. It can also attach to the side of the head with medical tape and detects when the wearer is speaking to it.

Plaud’s NotePin

At $159, Plaud’s NotePin is one of the pricier options on this list. Its built-in AI transcription and summarisation features make it a valuable tool for lawyers, journalists, and students attending meetings or lectures.

The tiny wearable voice recorder can be worn on the wrist or attached magnetically to clothing. Recordings are saved in real time on the phone, eliminating manual note-taking. The device includes 300 free monthly transcription minutes. The $8.33 per month Pro plan upgrades transcription time to 1,200 minutes.

This year, the company is preparing to launch the Plaud Note Pro. This ultra-thin note-taking device costs $179 and is now available for preorder.

Rabbit R1

Rabbit R1 is an AI gadget that has become a topic of interest despite facing challenges during its initial launch. This small, retro-styled handheld device features a touchscreen and rotating camera. It costs $199.

The unit is designed to be phone-adjacent. You can perform tasks such as booking flights, ordering meals, and controlling apps without pulling out your phone. Following a crucial software update that rectified previous performance issues, the Rabbit R1 now features expanded AI capabilities.

It introduces “Creations,” a feature that allows you to build your own tools and even games.

Sandbar

Sandbar emerged from stealth last year, unveiling the Stream ring. This AI wearable is designed for note-taking.

It features a built-in microphone that remains off by default. Activation occurs through a flat, touch-sensitive surface on the top of the ring. Pressing and holding the panel allows users to record notes. It enables interaction with an AI assistant through the companion smartphone app and manages media playback, including playing, pausing, skipping tracks, and adjusting volume.

The Stream ring is expected to launch this summer at $299. Silver and gold finishes are available.
