Samsung Electronics has deployed ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex to all staff in South Korea and to the global Device eXperience division. OpenAI describes this arrangement as one of its largest enterprise agreements. The tools will operate across research, manufacturing, marketing, and administration. Codex originally served developers but now supports non-technical staff building internal tools and automated workflows. A recent record-and-replay feature allows users to demonstrate a workflow once before the AI repeats the actions automatically.
The move highlights Samsung’s reliance on external AI services while it supplies memory chips for OpenAI infrastructure. Usage data suggests a significant shift in how Korean employees interact with generative models. OpenAI reports over five million weekly global Codex users. Active users in South Korea have increased by approximately 800 percent since February. Other Korean clients include LG Electronics, Krafton, Toss, and Seoul National University.
