Evolve your marketing with new AI tools

Google Ads and Google Analytics now include new artificial intelligence features designed to surface insights directly within the interface. These tools are intended to help marketing teams identify performance shifts, generate reports, and benchmark results against industry peers without needing to leave the platform.

Homepage summaries highlight recent changes

Google Analytics now displays AI-generated summaries at the top of the homepage. These overviews provide an instant breakdown of significant updates since the user last logged in, covering seasonal sales peaks and traffic fluctuations. Selecting a data card sends the specific context to the Ask Advisor tool for deeper analysis. Users can also opt to receive these summaries via email or phone notifications at a frequency that suits their workflow.

The Google Ads homepage has been updated to show personalized, timely insight cards. These cards are tailored to the specific business and allow for immediate strategic adjustments to capture emerging demand. A prompt box located above the cards enables users to ask specific questions, such as how competitors are affecting impression share or what trends could improve current campaigns.

Text prompts generate visual reports

New dashboards in Google Ads, with Google Analytics support arriving soon, allow users to convert raw data into visual charts using simple text commands. Every report includes an automatic real-time summary explaining the reasons behind the figures. This feature is designed to help users understand performance metrics or build a business case for new campaign ideas.

Compare performance against similar businesses

Marketers can now use Ask Advisor to compare their campaign performance against anonymized averages from similar companies. This benchmarking feature is available within Google Analytics and is intended to help refine strategy with greater confidence.

“Ask Advisor has become my go-to for a directional check on paid media performance… That speed matters because it gives me time to dig deeper and make shifts that improve performance sooner.”

Kevin Marshall, Paid Media Director at Gardyn

The tools are built on the Gemini model and are available now in Google Ads and Google Analytics.
