Connect more of your apps to Search

Google is rolling out a feature in the U.S. that allows users to link services like Instacart, Canva, and YouTube Music directly to the Search engine. This update moves beyond the Gemini app to let AI Mode execute tasks within these platforms. A user planning a barbecue can now add grocery items to an Instacart cart and checkout without leaving the browser. Similarly, requests for design concepts can trigger Canva templates, while music curation saves directly to YouTube Music. The system uses Personal Intelligence to tailor responses based on these connections.

The change shifts the interface from providing information to performing actions. Users no longer need to copy and paste data between different tools to complete a task. This reduces the steps required to finish common workflows. Google states it is working with more partners to expand the list of available applications.

* Feature launches in the U.S. this week
* Includes Instacart, Canva, and YouTube Music
* Actions execute within the partner app or website
