Anthropic is merging its front end for Claude chat and Cowork to reduce user confusion when selecting the correct tab for specific tasks. The unified interface allows access to chat, Cowork, and Artifacts within a single window, while Claude Design now operates anywhere inside the application. Previously, customers struggled to choose the right tool for the job, but the new design automatically routes requests without requiring tab switches. The update removes the need to decide which feature to pick by using one front end to direct work to different parts of the app.
Anthropic is also adding dedicated features for creating presentations and documents. Users can ask the assistant to create, edit, and present slides, then download the result as a PDF or PowerPoint. The Docs feature lets users work alongside the model to create sections, ask questions, and comment on completed parts. Users can share generated documents via a link and edit them on their phone. People can start creating a document on desktop and check progress using the mobile app. These features roll out to Pro and Max plans first on web, desktop, and mobile over the coming weeks, with plans to extend them to free and team tiers later. The update follows an upgrade of Cowork’s memory layer, which helps Claude remember user context across chats.
