404 Media is hosting two separate events to celebrate its third anniversary on September 3 and September 4.
The schedule
The first event takes place on Thursday, Sept. 3, at WNYC’s Greene Space. It is a live taping of the podcast featuring discussions on the past year and the future of independent journalism.
Two guests appear on stage: Matthew Gault, who discusses AI datacenter resistance, and Becky Ferreira from The Abstract, who covers recent science breakthroughs.
Subscribers at the Supporter level receive free access to both events. Members can check their status or become a paid supporter to secure 50% off the in-person ticket price for the live show.
Those unable to attend in New York can watch the livestream. Tickets are available for purchase, and a link to join the broadcast will be sent to donors via email before the event.
The second event is an open-bar party at Threes Brewing Gowanus on Friday, Sept. 4. Attendees receive a drink and light bites. Buying a ticket to the live show grants a 50% discount on the party ticket. Supporter members enter the party for free.
Founders Sam, Emanuel, Jason, and Joseph will be present. The team uses these gatherings to connect with subscribers who support the publication.
