Flow Engineering announced on Wednesday that it has secured a $50 million Series B funding round at a $750 million valuation. The round was co-led by Antonio Gracias of Valar Equity Partners and Gavin Baker of Atreides Management, with Sequoia Capital participating alongside former partner Roelof Botha. Botha has joined the company’s board. The startup, which is based in San Francisco, uses AI agents to automatically align CAD drawings with product requirements and simulation results. This approach addresses specific difficulties in hardware design where manual verification is slow and error prone.
The investment signals confidence in software solutions that reduce the time engineers spend checking technical specifications against design files. Major customers including Anduril, Rivian, Joby Aviation, General Motors, and Stoke Space rely on this workflow to accelerate development cycles. The backing from firms with deep ties to the aerospace and defence sectors suggests a practical demand for tools that integrate directly into complex engineering pipelines.
