Try Google Pics: Easy image creation and editing in Google Workspace

Google is rolling out Google Pics, a new image creation and editing tool, to all Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers alongside most Workspace business customers over the coming weeks. The service builds on the Nano Banana model to allow users to generate posters, social media posts, or digital illustrations directly within existing documents, slides, and drives without switching applications.

The integration aims to reduce friction by keeping visual work inside the apps where users already operate. Key features include object segmentation for targeted changes, in-image text translation that preserves font styles, and the ability to generate multiple variations from a single prompt. Collaboration is also built in, allowing teams to edit the same image file simultaneously. This approach removes the need to copy, paste, or move between separate software programs to manage visual assets.

  • Available now in Docs and Slides with Drive support arriving soon
  • Generates multiple image options from one prompt
  • Allows direct text editing and translation inside images
