After the call concluded, the automated message claimed she had enjoyed the interaction and complimented his voice despite his microphone being disconnected. This scenario demonstrates how scammers now deploy artificial intelligence to generate realistic-looking profiles and voice interactions without requiring actual human participants.
The technology allows fraudsters to bypass traditional verification methods and build immediate emotional connections that would previously have taken months to establish. Victims often share sensitive personal data or transfer money believing they are interacting with a genuine person. The lack of a real human behind the screen means these interactions can continue indefinitely until the scammer decides to extract funds or move to the next target.
