Party Mix III
The Party Mix III includes jog wheels, a three-band EQ, three channel faders, and a crossfader. A sync button is present for users to align tracks, alongside beat align indicators for those attempting beatmatching by ear.
Controls for Instrumental and Acapella functions allow users to isolate vocals or backing tracks using stem separation technology. This enables the creation of mashups. Users must ensure the tracks are in the same key.
Three built-in LEDs project a light show when tracks are beatmatched. Numark claims this feature allows the device to function as a complete production setup.
“The Party Mix has always been the controller that gets people hooked on DJing, and Party Mix III takes that tradition to a whole new level,” says Jake Hill, Senior Marketing Manager – DJ Brands at Numark.
MixTrack Go
The MixTrack Go is a smaller unit intended for mobile use. It lacks the light show feature but retains enough functionality for practicing transitions. Hill describes it as suitable for mixing from a home studio to the back of a car.
“Both of these controllers bring modern DJ tools like Stems control and Bluetooth MIDI control to price points where more people than ever can pick them up and start playing,” Hill continues.
Software and pricing
Both models support Serato DJ Lite, Algoriddim djay for iOS and Android, and Algoriddim djay Pro for Mac and PC. They are also compatible with Serato DJ Pro and VirtualDJ for users holding a licence. Bluetooth connectivity allows operation on smartphones and tablets.
The Party Mix III costs $149, €139.99, or £119.99. The MixTrack Go is priced at $99, €99.99, or £79.99. Further details are available on the Numark website.
