Meta announced on Wednesday that its Muse assistant is now available in a dedicated iPad app. This move marks a milestone that took Instagram fifteen years to achieve despite constant user demand, yet Muse arrived on the tablet just one month after its September 8 launch on iPhone. The application has already surpassed 6.6 million installs across iOS and Android, allowing users to connect accounts for email, meetings, bills, and tasks like booking reservations or ordering groceries.
The iPad version expands Muse’s utility by integrating new connectors for small business tools such as Asana, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, QuickBooks, GitHub, Klaviyo, Zoom, Notion, and Granola. It also adds access to Meta ad accounts and retail partners including Best Buy, Gap, Sephora, Walmart, and Wayfair. However, transactions can still fail because websites often mistake these agents for bots. Meta is currently developing an open standard to help businesses identify legitimate personal AI agents.
* New connectors support small business software and Meta advertising accounts
* Retail partners enable direct shopping and transaction completion
* An open standard is being developed to distinguish agents from malicious bots
