Hark has launched its Handoff agent, a browser tool designed to complete tasks on websites that lack official APIs. The system analyses page structure and visual data to determine clicks or text inputs for actions like ordering food or booking travel. CEO Brett Adcock demonstrated the agent building a flower bouquet by interpreting fuzzy instructions such as “some of the florist’s choice”.
The release matters because it offers a cheaper and faster alternative to competing models from Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic. While many startups are building similar automation tools, Hark claims its approach predicts specific actions rather than just generating text tokens. The company states it will launch the full platform by the end of the summer after refining its training infrastructure.
