Anthropic has released Claude Science, a dedicated workspace that aggregates dozens of scientific databases and tools into a single interface. The application allows researchers to analyse literature, execute multi-step calculations, generate charts, and draft manuscripts within one environment. Over sixty preconfigured skills cover disciplines such as genomics, proteomics, and cheminformatics. A built-in verification agent independently checks citations and calculations before presenting results to the user.
The tool operates locally on macOS or Linux systems while connecting to remote machines via SSH or high-performance computing clusters. This architecture ensures sensitive data remains within the laboratory infrastructure without external exposure. Only the specific context required for a task is sent to the model, and computational power scales from a single GPU to hundreds of units as needed. The platform integrates Nvidia’s BioNeMo agent toolkit, providing access to models like Evo 2 and Boltz-2. Users can save custom pipelines as reusable skills, and the service is currently in beta for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise accounts. Anthropic is offering up to $30,000 in credits for each of fifty funded research projects.
* Applications remain open until July 15, 2026.
* The system supports both local processing and remote cluster connections.
* Preconfigured skills address specific fields including proteomics and cheminformatics.
