Jane Doe 4 has joined a lawsuit filed by three Tennessee teenagers against Elon Musk’s xAI regarding the alleged use of the Grok chatbot to generate child sexual abuse material. The woman claims her stepfather manipulated a photograph of her taken at age 11 to produce over 7,000 explicit images. Law enforcement uncovered the files during a raid, and the stepfather died by suicide two days later. She told reporters that unlimited access to such tools is rapidly turning everyday life into a source of abuse for children.
The teenagers accuse xAI, which is now part of SpaceX, of failing to implement basic safety measures to stop Grok from creating sexualised images of real people. This case follows reports that the X platform was flooded with millions of Grok-generated sexualised images earlier this year. The plaintiffs are seeking class action status for their suit. The incident highlights the immediate risks posed by generative AI when deployed without strict content filters.
