Slack can now vibe-code interactive charts and reports inside chats

Slackforce Surfaces launches as a new Slack feature enabling users to generate interactive reports, polls, and dashboards directly within a chat window. A user describes the desired output to Slackbot, and the artificial intelligence tool gathers data from connected applications such as Google Drive or Salesforce to construct the requested Surface. The resulting artefact allows colleagues to view, interact with, and comment on the content before pinning it to a channel for ongoing reference.

This capability shifts the workflow for creating internal documentation from a separate design phase to an immediate conversational task. Teams no longer need to export data to external platforms to build visualisations, reducing the friction between finding information and presenting it. The integration of generative AI with enterprise data sources means that complex reporting becomes a single prompt rather than a multi-step process involving multiple software tools.

* Generated Surfaces can be pinned to specific channels for team visibility.
* The feature integrates with existing data sources like Salesforce and Google Drive.
* Users can create microsites and presentations without leaving the chat interface.
