I seriously don’t understand why people are claiming Claude is better than ChatGPT right now?

I’ve tried both Claude and ChatGPT extensively and the latter still wins in most aspects from my experience. I presume a large part of the vocal crowd claiming Claude is better are people working in the IT field (programmers) in which case, yes I do concede Claude is rather better in writing code.

But in terms of daily conversation, general knowledge and everyday use for non-coders, ChatGPT wins for me by a huge margin. Some things I noticed Claude really did poorly at or completely lacked:

It can’t switch languages mid-conversation. You need to start a new convo each time for that.

It can’t generate images unlike ChatGPT which now arguably has the most advanced image gen capability in the world, beating out Gemini’s NB.

The voice convo function in Claude kinda sucks sadly. I had too often times where Claude couldn’t correctly translate what I’m saying into the correct words. Meanwhile ChatGPT was able to do so very accurately and even more remarkably, could filter out my murmurs, stuttering and word slips.
