Encore AI has raised $30 million in a Series A round led by Team8.
The startup was founded in 2022 under the name Insait IO by CEO Dvir Ginzburg. It originally built recommendation software for financial advisers and relationship managers. The company has since rebranded and expanded its system into a platform that analyses conversations between employees and customers. It identifies which approaches led to successful outcomes and uses those findings to train its AI agents.
Ginzburg describes the process as interaction mining. The platform collects call recordings, emails, and text messages, then links this information with CRM systems. It breaks customer interactions into stages to determine which parts of a conversation helped move the process along and which failed.
This allows Encore’s agents to learn what works best for specific clients or interactions. Different employees may be more or less effective at various points in a sales or customer success process. The company’s software also helps businesses identify where their current support and sales workflows fall short, spot inefficiencies, and locate key issues.
Encore states its agents can communicate with customers via voice or text. They can also act as assistants to employees, suggesting responses and tactics during live conversations.
The company reports more than 40 enterprise customers globally. The majority are financial institutions. Ginzburg noted that annual recurring revenue has grown more than five times since the seed round less than 18 months ago. He did not disclose exact revenue figures or valuation.
Encore faces competition as large CRM providers such as Salesforce, SAP, Zoho, and HubSpot build similar AI capabilities around their own data. Ginzburg argues that access to data alone is insufficient. Established vendors would need to overhaul their processes to make historical customer conversations the foundation of their agents.
“The biggest players that we are competing against, they don’t see [conversational] history as a data point that they are utilizing,” Ginzburg said. “For them to start asking for conversational data with their current employees will require changing their entire implementation stack and technological stack.”
Planven, Lukatz and Garage participated in the round, alongside several banks and insurers. Some financial institutions investing in the round had used Encore’s product before deciding to fund the company.
Proceeds from the Series A will expand U.S. sales operations and deploy the platform with more large financial institutions.
What it means
For the people making things, this means the AI learns directly from real human performance rather than generic training data. Agents can repeat the specific jokes, anecdotes, and tactics that successful relationship managers use in the wild. This allows teams to scale proven methods without rewriting rulebooks.
