Anthropic takes on Muse with Claude Duet, its new AI agent

Anthropic has launched Claude Duet, a new AI agent designed to compete directly with Meta’s Muse and OpenAI’s Dots. The tool targets professionals and small business owners by connecting to existing applications to manage daily workflows. Available as a standalone app on iOS and Android or through the web interface, the software runs on Claude Opus 5.5. It provides a morning summary of key items across linked apps and notifies users only when specific attention is required. Users can also delegate tasks to the agent for execution.

This release adds another layer to the growing competition among major technology firms to build practical AI assistants. While many previous tools required significant training or complex setup, this agent focuses on immediate integration with current digital habits. The move signals a shift toward agents that handle routine monitoring without constant human supervision.
