AlphaTheta has released the XDJ-AN, a two-channel controller priced at €1,149 (including VAT) or $1,199 in the US.
This device aims to bridge the gap between home practice and professional club environments without requiring a complete change in workflow.
The layout mirrors AlphaTheta’s flagship CDJ-3000X multi player and DJM series mixers. A central 7-inch touchscreen sits between two 132mm jog wheels.
Performance tools include three Beat FX options: Reverb, Echo, and Flanger. There are also six Sound Colour FX: Space, Dub Echo, Sweep, Noise, Crush, and Filter.
Connectivity covers USB drives, laptops, and mobile devices. StreamingDirectPlay allows mixing tracks directly from supported platforms. rekordbox Cloud Library Sync and CloudDirectPlay enable access to cloud playlists without manual USB exports.
Active rekordbox subscription users see Hot Cues and playlist edits sync automatically to the cloud. The unit also integrates with rekordbox and djay for iOS, plus the DJM-REC app for recording and live streaming.
A built-in SonicLink transmitter supports compatible wireless headphones for low-latency monitoring, removing the need for extra hardware.
Outputs include balanced XLR and RCA for speakers or PA systems. Bluetooth input and output provide further flexibility. The system delivers professional connectivity and sound for both home practice and live performance.
What it means
DJs can move from bedroom setups to club booths without relearning controls or managing complex hardware chains. The familiar layout and integrated cloud features reduce setup time while maintaining professional standards.
